At OCP, teaching is not a profession; it's a passion.
Our highly credentialed, mission-driven faculty are called to teach and reach the heart of every child. Low student-teacher ratios allow teachers the time to give plenty of personal attention and to address individual student learning styles. Close working relationships with parents help to maintain a consistent framework of loving Christian care, discipline, and values between home and school. Students are mentored and encouraged to discover God’s path for their lives and achieve their full potential.
All OCP teachers have a minimum 4-year degree in the area they teach and are certified through the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
More than 40% of Upper School faculty hold advanced degrees.
Preschool teachers hold a Child Development Accreditation (CDA).
Degreed teachers lead specialty classes, including art, music, Spanish, P.E., speech/drama, computer, and Upper School praise and worship
